My roomate and I have established a strange new hobby as of late. While enjoying some casual COD 4, we target lousy, over-confident players and steal their clan tag—then we get terribly pissed off at them for acting like they’re a member of our clan…those worthless jerks.
I call it Clan-Jacking.
Clan-Jacking isn’t difficult, but some practice does provide more entertaining results. Furthermore, having a friend to play along with you adds to the excitement by adding a whole new dynamic to this mini-game.
You’ll need to get a feel of the situation before starting. Gauge players voices and try to target a younger, more insecure gamer…they’ll be easier to manipulate. When you’ve found a suitable target, jack their clan tag and wait for them to initiate a conversation. It’s very important that you do not start the conversation yourself. If you have a friend helping, sometimes they can successfully start the process by suggesting to you that someone has stolen your clan tag.
From this point on, you get points for the following:
- 1 Point for getting them to complain.
- 3 Points for convincing them that you’re a member of their clan.
- 5 Points for convincing them that they missed last nights clan practice and the leader is furious.
- 10 Points if you do all the above, then address them by their real name which you’ve found online via stalking them on Facebook (Does not count if they make their name viewable in Bio—must find by cross-referencing details in their bio, google searches, forum user listings, etc so they don’t have any idea how you know them.)
Points are to be tallied on paper. Winners won’t be posted because you’re all losers for trying this.
